In this week&#039;s episode of The Ambaa Tree Wellness TV I discuss Fructose Malabsorption Syndrome.  What it is, what causes it and how you can treat it.  More and more people are being diagnosed with this condition, I find that many children have it as well and it can make life very uncomfortable with abdominal pain and severe bloating along with frequent bowel movements.  The underlying cause is quite simple to treat, but it does require some dietary restrictions until your gut has been repaired.

In this week&#039;s episode of The Ambaa Tree Wellness TV I discuss what the difference is between a food allergy and a food sensitivity or intolerance.  These terms are often used interchangeably but they are two very different immune responses and reactions.  The majority of people suffer from food sensitivities rather than allergies.  The treatment for food sensitivities or food intolerances is to remove the offending food from the diet for a period of time to allow the digestive system to heal.

In this week&#039;s episode of The Ambaa Tree Wellness TV I continue on from a previous episode regarding eating a wheat free diet.  I had many comments regarding the previous episode about wheat and it&#039;s affect on your health and well-being, lots of people wanted to know what they could eat if they had a wheat free diet.  Some people believed that they wouldn&#039;t be able to remove wheat from their children&#039;s diet because they didn&#039;t know what else to feed them.  I share some simple wheat alternatives in this video.  There are so many great foods out there that removing one ingredient shouldn&#039;t mean that you are unable to eat a fantastic diet full of variety, it just takes some planning and knowledge.

Let me know what you use instead of wheat, do you have any simple recipes to share?  What do you give your kids instead of wheat sandwiches for lunch, help everyone by sharing your suggestions.

Here is a great recipe for a wheat free flat bread that you can use as a wrap

Torte Cecci
350g chickpea flour (besan)
1 litre water
2 tablespoons olive oil
Salt &amp; pepper to season

Mix all ingredients together and leave to stand for at least two hours (very important).
Line a baking tray with baking paper &amp; spray with oil - the dough has a tendency to stick when cooked so you need to experiment with what works for you. Pour watery mixture into tin - it needs to be very thin layer (like a pancake) &amp; bake in oven preheated to 230 degrees for approx 30 mins until golden. Best eaten on day.

In this week&#039;s episode of The Ambaa Tree Wellness TV I discuss what is actually in your breakfast cereal - and you will be surprised.  I also talk about whether breakfast cereal is actually the best way to start the day.  Over the past 50 years breakfast cereals have become a staple part of our diet, but what did people eat before cereals were invented?  Why were cereals invented, I am sure you will enjoy this story (you will have to watch the video to find out).  Many people struggle to find alternatives to breakfast cereal but it isn&#039;t difficult.  Try this great Chia Pudding recipe for breakfast tomorrow morning:
Chia Pudding
Soak 2-3 tablespoons of chia seeds in coconut milk overnight. Add nuts, seeds and fruit (or whatever you like), mix through the chia mix. Serve

In this week&#039;s episode of The Ambaa Tree Wellness TV I share something that I learnt at the Royal Easter Show.  I was listening to a Dairy Farmer talk about the effects of chemicals and pesticides on the fertility of his cows, as well as how they became mineral deficient when exposed to these toxins. I found this very interesting, I knew the effect of these substances on humans but I didn&#039;t realise that the cows were affected in a similar manner.  I share some of the things that I learnt from this Dairy Farmer and how that can be applied to everyone who wants to be healthy and happy.
